We were asked to create an inspirational show home to entice young and professional first-time buyers and commuters seeking to be close to the Elizabeth Line for their journey into London.
The design scheme and colour palette throughout the apartment was influenced by the apartment’s waterside location. We introduced calming blue hues around the top of the walls in the property’s hallway. We then furnished the space with a console table and oversized mirror.
In the living area we wanted to create a cosy and inviting space. We used modern furnishings and an array of eclectic finishes, including brass, black metal and glass, and styled the room with accessories to appeal to the target audience’s lifestyle. The natural textile of the sofa is contrasted with vibrant soft furnishings to tie in with the dramatic painted wall behind the media unit.
We chose a round table in the dining area to create ample space for entertaining. We paired it with curved dining chairs upholstered in a plush grey velvet fabric with black legs to coordinate with the colours of the table & ladder shelving
In the first bedroom we used an impactful colour blocking above the bed to create the perfect backdrop for the stone-coloured headboard.
We paired the bed with indulgent marble lamps and grey bedside tables. This was complemented with abstract wall art, bright soft furnishings and a striking chevron-design dressing table.
The blue colour palette continues in the second bedroom through the use of the striking velvet headboard. We designed this room with a dual purpose in mind: as a chic guest room and as a home office. We continued the chevron pattern in the detailing in the headboard and the desk, contrasting perfectly with the grey paintwork and black and white framed prints hanging above the bed. We finished the room with grey bedside tables and a bold colour palette of mustard, blush pink and navy blue in the soft furnishings and accessories.
